About author
Randolph Hall serves as Professor within the Epstein Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, and holds the position of Vice Provost for Research Advancement, both at the University of Southern California. He has formerly edited books on both Transportation Science and Patient Flow, in addition to authoring the textbook titled Queueing Methods for Services and Manufacturing. Dr. Hall's professional background includes collaborative work with a multitude of healthcare institutions, focusing on the redesign of service delivery processes, funded by organizations such as the California Healthcare Foundation, LA Care, and the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services. He earned his Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. degrees in civil engineering, industrial engineering and operations research respectively, from the University of California, Berkeley.
